Oral surgeon consult appointment

So we finally got in to see the Pediatric Oral Surgeon on Thursday and everything went okay. Well there's a ton of work that needs to be done but this appointment was uneventful. They took x-rays (because the originals were lost in transit from our home Dentist) and the surgeon took a look at her. Here's the run down:

Metal caps on the molars
One baby root canal
Possibly one filling on a front tooth (they're not going to fill the rest as they should just fall out soon) but they will shave down the teeth to allow some space as they are too close together and trapping food, hence the problem.

They are going to put her to sleep so she won't have to listen to and deal with all that thankfully. He said the whole thing will take about an hour with an added half hour for recovery afterwards. We get to be there when she goes to sleep and wake up so that's good. Surprisingly they didn't book us in until June 4th. I told them her teeth were bugging her but that's what they give us. On the phone originally they wanted us to stay over night and do the surgery the next day but due to insurance clearance we couldn't. Now I thought that was strange.

Anyway here's a few pics from the place.
She was so excited to see she got a special door to go in.

This fish tank was pretty cool, she loved that one of her fav cartoon characters homes was in it as well. "Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? Sponge Bob Square Pants!" Also in this tank was a Dori fish (From Finding Nemo) as well as some Nemo fish. I thought the live shrimp was pretty neat with his long tentacle/whisker things. Apparently he was kind of aggressive to the others though if they came too close but I didn't see that so I'm just going to ignore that. hehe Oh and this neat little star fish and some snails were in the tank too. Daelyn is looking forward to seeing them again, although we found out later the surgery procedures are done on the other side of the building. :(

Behind this tank, well on the other side of where I was, was a kids lounge area with two tv's and video games and movies. How fun! The other neat thing about the place was above every dentist chair was a ceiling mounted tv for cartoon viewing. LOL
Every dentist should have that!!

The Duck has been FOUND!

Well I had hoped that if we just left Ducky to himself (where ever he was) he would eventually come home. You see, he had gone missing on Wednesday afternoon and after much searching to find him, D didn't seem to worried. We had our big visit to the Paediatric Oral Surgeon on Thursday (Update on that later) and took Splash as a substitute, he did a good job until we got home and she was tired and missing Ducky. Thankfully big sister stepped in and offered to lend her, her beloved Oliver which did the trick! This morning we're sitting in the living room and D says to me, "I think I found Ducky!" The hubs and I had said when we find him, he's going to be in the most obvious, ridiculous place and what do you know....

See him? Behind the keyboard?
How many times had we sat there Wednesday night, Thursday morning, Thursday night and not seen him? As I sit here typing now, I realize the tray never gets pulled out that far but really.... I knew she had played her computer games Wednesday so I had looked behind the computer, under the printer on the floor, behind the desk but not there! Duh!!!

Reunited again!!
Thanks Oliver for being the stand in sleeping buddy.
Thanks Hayley for sharing!! :)

Eating Cereal!

Okay so now, Big Mack is eating cereal on a regular evening basis, it was part of my "Must sleep through the night" mission. hehe This was about 3 weeks ago and he wasn't too sure of it, now he devours a nice sized bowl. LOL

What am I supposed to do here?

What the heck is this stuff?

Seriously Mom? I don't think so...

Anyway... it got me thinking of this cute little video of Daelyn enjoying some baby cereal with yogurt, she was 21 months old. The Video was taken after a visit at the Grandparents and they had taught her how to use a spoon all by herself... I guess I was still feeding her myself when I didn't need too! LOL She's too cute.
