Celebrity Look Alike
I remember seeing this in blogs a while back before I had mine and thought it was kinda neat. I found it again this morning ang thought I'd try it this time, scared of what it would tell me. I was pleasently surprised with what came up, 71% like Sarah Jessica Parker? Wow! Cool! I guess it's to no surprise that she's one of my husbands favourite actresses. :) Dang it's to big, sorry about that, I don't know how to change it. The one that you can't see on the right, is Carrie Underwood.

Just fun stuff
As I was blog surfing, I found this on Paula May's blog. It's a bunch of quizes at a site called Blogthings. I checked it out and thought is was kinda funny. Here are a few of my results, you'll have to let me know what you think. Hey Lyn, what do you think of the third line? :o LOL
And then I found this one. Scott when you read this, and I know you will, you have to try it then tell me your percentage. :) LOL
You Have a Melancholic Temperament |
![]() Introspective and reflective, you think about everything and anything. You are a soft-hearted daydreamer. You long for your ideal life. You love silence and solitude. Everyday life is usually too chaotic for you. Given enough time alone, it's easy for you to find inner peace. You tend to be spiritual, having found your own meaning of life. Wise and patient, you can help people through difficult times. At your worst, you brood and sulk. Your negative thoughts can trap you. You are reserved and withdrawn. This makes it hard to connect to others. You tend to over think small things, making decisions difficult. |
And then I found this one. Scott when you read this, and I know you will, you have to try it then tell me your percentage. :) LOL
You Are 24% Control Freak |
![]() You have achieved the perfect balance of control and letting go. You tend to roll with whatever life brings, but you never get complacent. |

Tag, I'm it!
OK Here are my answers for Lauren and Paula May's Tag:
These are the rules to play blogtag:
List 5 weird things about yourself or your pets.
Tag 5 friends and list them.
Those people need to write on their blogs about 5 weird things, and state the rules, and tag 5 more people. Don't forget to let the people you tag know by posting a comment on their blog!
I'm finding this hard because I didn't think I did anything wierd but here we go:
1. I'd rather talk online than on the phone. It's just so much easier and less uncomfortable, and when you have a toddler screaming they can't hear it. :)
2. I love reading Medical Thrillers, that's almost all I read.
3. I'm addicted to most reality tv shows.
4. My dog and my husband are having a secret affair. LOL Not really but I think he loves her more than the rest of us. :)
5. I love the "For Dummies" Books. I have 8 of them so far but I'm always looking for more. "Blogger For Dummies" for example, Does anyone know if there is such a thing yet, because I will buy it!!
I'm only gonna tag these girls cause I don't think they have been yet:
Sandy
Jen
Missy

Forgot to mention...
what happened with my taxes and the Government. If you remember, they has asked me to send in all my receipts for the medical expenses we claimed last year. It was a large amountt because of, first and formost Scott's Laser Eye Surgery, then of course there was all the Pre and Postnatal Dr's appointments being more than so many KM's away from home. Anyway, I sent it all in and received a letter back a couple days ago. It said:
"We have completed our review of the return mentioned above. Based on the documentation you submitted, no admustment is necessary."
YAHOO!!!!!
So that's done and I won. Not like there was really any winning or losing to be done, I just had to justify what I claimed but who cares! Take that Canada Governement!!!
Anyway It seems as though I've been tagged again. Paula May from Elemental Scraps got me the other day, so I guess I should get on that and answer all those questions. :)

Our trip to the city!
I wanted to add in a seperate post about our trip to see Baby Adam on Saturday. Things didn't go quite as planned but you can never expect them to. We did stop in to see Baby Hannah and my cousin on the way to the city so that was really nice. They are doing well there, and she is just a doll!
Baby Adam had a bit of a fever Friday, the day they went to leave the hospital and so they admitted him to what looked like the NICU, but I'm not sure. It was a place with really tiny tiny babies under the lights and all, and my little nephew looked huge! (Well he was 8 lbs. LOL) They think it was precautionary while they waited for the cultures to see if he had an infection. Anyway, we got to go in there for a bit and hold him, and I didn't want to put him down. He's such a cutie, and would you believe I left my camera in the car! Those of you that know me would totally believe that! Anyway my SIL Joyce got a few pics on her camera of me and him so I'll wait until she sends them. There is no rush as Adam got to go home yesterday and they are of course busy enjoying him. Congrats again, B&J!!!

Some new LO's
Well I've taken a few days off of scrapping and just surfed around the sites and blogs and left comments here and there. It something I have to do every now and then to let my creativity recharge I guess, get inspired by everyone else's great work. I did a couple today I thought I'd share. One I did kind of over two days, I started it last night and finished it up today, and then the other was just a real quick one I threw together.
For this one I used retrodiva's Aiden available at Digital Freebies, and a sketch template from The Digichick. They do sketches once a week there, I love that! This is Daelyn and her cousin Elias from Iowa at Christmas last year. The journalling reads, "Elias is such a sweet and gentle boy when it comes to Daelyn. I'm sure that in a few years that won't be the case, but for now it's just adorable."

This one, I used retrodiva's Oktoberfest. It's a new release also at DF that's great for Fall pics with browns and oranges. You may notice I didn't use a picture like that, but that's because I don't really have any. I guess we didn't get outside to play in the leaves. No matter, it's still a great kit.

This one I did do a few days ago with Rebecca's Little Miss Priss by Rebecca Gold at Digital Freebies. It's a great kit, I love her stuff with the purples and soft blues etc. This picture was taken when we all spent a few days at Jen and Kaitlyn's, without the hubby's! I have to say the alphas are from all sorts of other kits and if you want to see the full credits, check out my gallery. :)

Grey's Anatomy video and other TV talk.
The TV is always on at our house, and out of the blue came on this music video with clips from Grey's Anatomy. Oh my gosh, If you haven't seen it you really must. I could have cried all over again for Lizzy. I found it on Youtube so you can take a peak at it.
This is for Season Three - The one I was talking about
and this is for Season Two - pretty good to
There is another commercial that I'm not sure has aired yet but I've seen it on Ellen Degeneras and The View now and I just love it. It's by Dove and it shows what a person goes through as a model starting with what they really look like and ended with the finishing photo. It shows the girl getting her make up on, her hair done, the right lighting and positioning for the photo and then the retouching of the photo. It really shows that these beautiful models you see in the magazines aren't real or lifelike, but rather almost fictional images. Check it out here!
Didn't do any scrapping yesterday even though I had some time. Just not into it as much these days. *Gasp* I know! I guess I'm having a bit of creative block or a lul. Maybe once I get some pics of my new nephew Adam I'll be inspired again. :)

I'm an AUNTIE! A full fledged blood AUNTIE!!!!!
That's right my sister in law and my brother had their baby! Woo Hoo!! And it's a BOY! (I knew it) Adam Macintyre (not sure on the spelling of the second name) 8lbs and some ounces, was born today around noonish, and everyone is doing ok. :) I hope they send some pics soon and then I can scrap boy LO's, oh my! Do I know how to do that? Well we'll see. ;) Anyway I'm hoping to get in to the city this weekend to see my new nephew.
Congratulations Brian and Joyce, Welcome here baby Adam!
Daelyn and I went to moms group today and had a great time. She played with the other kids and I got to visit with the other moms. They are quite nice and I will miss that time when we move. After we hit Pizza Hut for their lunch buffet, (Daelyn loves the pasta) we got some stuff at Walmart then groceries and hit the road home. We were home early today and Daelyn went right to sleep. Yaaa! But what I won't miss is the long grocery trips, how fun it will be to get groceries in a matter of half an hour or so. :)
On the scrapping front, Elemental Scraps has started the next round of challenges. If you haven't stopped by to see them you should. The more you do, the more links you get for the mega kit, and this rounds is awesome! Click on them if you want a close up view, and this round goes until October 31st.

New LO
So I saw this kit at Elemental scraps and just knew I could do something with it. I pulled a photo (taken by Jen actually) from our winter holiday trip and did this:

Jetplane by Faith True - Elemental Scraps
I love this kit, great notebook and other embellishments like the tickets and postcard. It's a mini kit but it's packed with stuff I didnt' even get to use.

Baby Hannah
Well it didn't take long to do this LO of the new baby. My SIL got to visit them yesterday and sent me some pics on email. Thanks Joyce! I also did this for the font challenge at ES using the Porcelain font.

One down, one to go...
babies that is! Both my sister in law and cousin are pregnant and due about 2 or 3 weeks apart. My cousin two weeks overdue, finally delivered hers this morning. A little girl, Hannah Michelle was born this morning at a whopping 9 lbs. Yikes! I don't know much more except something must have happened as she was supposed to deliver in Portage but ended up in Winnipeg. I was going to go see her but now that she's in the city it's to far for just a quick trip. My sister in law is due on Monday, and it's driving me crazy. On one hand it's gone so fast and on the other it seems like she's been pregnant for a long time and I just want to see this baby already. :)
Congrats Jolina and Mike, and welcome here Hannah!!!

How many more days,
until we leave here? It can't be soon enough.
How frustraiting to have company come to visit, and you have to ask them to buy groceries for you on the way out. Hopefully you don't forget anything that you need for supper cause if the corner store doesn't have it or it's a holiday your out of luck. Then heaven forbid you run out of water while they're here and they can't even go to the bathroom before they hit the highway home. How embarrassing! Luckily it was my parents and I know they understand. I just hope you made it to the nearest bathroom in time. ;) We lost our water around 4:30pm or so right as we're making supper and got it back around 8:30 after the water truck guy came to fill up the well again. What caused this, you might ask? Not the excess use of the facilities, or all the company the three families have had over the holiday weekend, but a leaky toilet in the guys office/cells across the road. Strange though to have the well alarm go off for a change, as it's usually the septic alarm!
Anyway, I noticed it's been a while since my last post. I haven't been in much of a scrapping mood lately, I have lots of kits and I even have some new pics of Daelyn, just not in the mood. My Sister in law is about to pop and my cousin is overdue so I should have some more baby pics soon but those babies are taking their time. :) It's just killing me not knowing what my brother and his wife are having but knowing that they know what they're having. Did that make sence? LOL Shouldn't be long now anyway. :)
Hey Look at my weather girl! She's got an umbrella and it's snowing and raining at only 1 degree celcius. How accurate, that's exactly what it's like today, cold and yucky!!!
Well my time with Lauren Griers CT was short lived. She has decided to quite selling her kits at Digital Freebies so she no longer has a need for a CT there. Her Sweet shoppe CT is still full of course, who would leave that? But she said she may have quest spots in the future so I'll have to watch and apply. :) She was wonderful to us and even shared a few Sweet Shoppe exclusives. One of them being this one, called Ana. I just love it you can find it here.

Here's a page I did a week ago or so, with one of Faith True's kits called Periwinkle Garden available Here. I am developing quite the fondness for Faiths work and I think she's becoming one of my favourites. I just looked and it's even on sale at Elemental Scraps right now for only $2.75! Click here to see it. :)

The journalling reads:
"I don’t know how you did this, but one time you figured out you could climb into your own high chair. I guess you went from the kitchen chair onto the table and into your chair. Even though you scared me, it was kinda funny, just please don’t do it again!"
