Some new scrapping layouts

WOW I got some LO's done. Well they've probably been done for a while just haven't posted them yet. I have only done one layout this month so it shows where my mojo is at again. WOW okay I just looked back and I haven't posted layouts since June! My goodness... Does anyone check my scrapbook gallery at Elemental Scraps anymore?

This is from my Chicago trip with the girls. We had a baby shower for the 2 farthest along pregnant girls. It was a blast!

I read a great post about Digital Scrapbooking Creative Teams on Hummie's Blog today. Her style is a lot like mine in that our layouts are on the simplier side and do not have a lot of elements but rather focus on the photos. This kind of style can be a bit disheartening in the digital world as the majority of others seem to scrap single photo LO's without any journalling or story to tell what's going on, and those are the ones people deem "pretty." If you scrap like me and get discouraged that your LO's aren't as pretty as others, check it out!!

Halloween Pictures

Ok I finally got them up here. There were too many to post so I just put them into a Shutterfly slide show for you. There are captions at the bottom as well. Edited - Ok well there were captions and now they seemed to have dissappeared. I'll explain the change in costume, it was so nice out Daelyn wanted to wear her princess dress so we changed it up. She wore Barney three times that week already so we got our use out of it that's for sure. It might be a while before we can get away without big winter jackets again! :)

ETA: Ok so I changed it up again, I thought maybe a visible slide show here would be nice. :)

On a side note, I can see how many visitors I get in a day to my blog. At first I was flattered by the results then I realized what was going on. Below is last weeks summery. Now look at all those people! WOW! Well you know who they are? Neither do I but most of them are looking at my Henna post, the one that went bad and I had the allergy too. Yup They're Googling that, and my photo (of my henna) and blog addy comes up. Now let me ask, how many of my family and friends are actually stopping in??? With Facebook being the more popular hangout and often results in more photo comments, the fate of my blog is questionable right now...

Fall pics and Jack O' Lanterns... ohhh spooky!!!

I guess it's been a while since my last post. I've missed my last few Wednesdays free mornings/preschool with Daelyn being sick, then being sick myself. Ugh! This week was their preschool Halloween party and they needed some extra helpers for their field trip uptown so I helped out. My mother in law was here as well, so she came along too. It was a nice treat for both her and Daelyn to have her there for the fun. They came home with LOTS of goodies just from that!



Well I've been taking the camera out a little bit more lately, I had been on a slump I think, and got some leaf pictures. We bought a leaf blower/sucker/mulcher thing a couple of weekends ago and after blowing the leaves into a nice big pile I took the oppurtunity for some pictures. This machine has been a godsend with all of our big oak trees, but we have yet to finish the job. *blush* Hopefully this weekend we can get them all cleaned up!

We also carved our pumpkings Tuesday night. The girls had one each and then the man and I shared one I guess. They also had little mini pumpkins that they colored with markers that we got from the Meander Pumpkin Patch at Thanksgiving. Daelyn actually enjoyed doing them this year and wasn't scared of the faces on them. We can even sit them facing out on the counter this year. LOL Yaaaa! Sometimes I think she should be going as a Chicken for Halloween! ;)

Missy even helped clean them out this year.



Hayley picked out her pattern, and from here on in he will be known as "George"... don't ask, I don't know. LOL
