That's what Daelyn said today after spilling a bowl of macaroni crackers on the floor, and I agreed. maybe I should digress a little...
Start the morning off at 6 am with a baby up for a bottle. Not to bad. He drank it and went back to bed without any fuss. I pumped some milk for his day bottles and then had a shower. It was an early start but not a terrible one. Then we head off to playgroup. Probably one of the worst for us, Daelyn got beat up on by one of the boys that comes on a regular basis. The two of them are like fire and water. They play pretty well one minute, then it gets rough and ends up with her crying the next. She was holding her own until he apparently stuck his finger in her mouth. Then the open bag of ritz bits crackers she put on her backpack to save for later got spilled all over the floor by another little guy to small to actually help clean up but old enough to know better. No scratch that he is more then old enough to help clean up he's nearly three! Fine, I'll clean it up. I put big Mack in his car seat on the floor while I threw the crackers in the garbage, only after being told by the dumper childs mom that I missed some. Ya thanks for helping.... As I'm walking to the garbage same "dumper" boy decides to put both hands on my boy and squish him in his seat. I didn't see it but that's what I was told. Thankfully there are some moms with quick feet and came to his rescue and picked him up. He didn't cry so he wasn't hurt, thank goodness, but enough of that! It was time to clean up the toys anyway so we helped a bit then packed up and left. Why can't some parents.... well... parent?!
We get home and after cleaning a messy poppy diaper we sit down to eat lunch. I really need to invest in a diaper pail with a closing/latching lid because apparently my dog (think little white fluff ball) can knock a clothes basket off the pail and retrieve said poopy diaper out, in order to lick and eat and spread poop all over the floor in the baby's room. LOVELY! So we clean that up and settle down for a play with Big Mack and D. Then the phone rings....
Crap! We forgot Daelyn had a dentist appointment for the filling that fell out two days ago and needed to get fixed. Thankfully they still had time for us so we rushed down there. Here comes the best part. Turns out that she has cavities in between ALL of her teeth and in her molars! WTH? I had tried so hard with her as a toddler not to give her sweets, and I diluted her juice until she was 3! So the options are 1) do all white fillings that look better but aren't always best as they can decay and fall out, (obviously) or 2) do caps on the molars and white fillings on the front ones. We also have to decide between the local dentist doing it in 4 sessions in the chair, or putting her under at the oral surgeon in the city and do it all at once. They fixed the one that had fallen out this week all the while she was crying... loudly. After that we decided on the oral surgeon. THEN when we got home and the freezing started coming out (which was half the problem) she realized it wasn't that bad and agreed to try it again. So I phoned the dentist back to see if we could try one session again to do it locally. They're gonna phone back with appt times. I'm sure they are thinking, "Oh great, we don't want that loud cryer back" LOL..... *sigh*
So after her freezing came out and she wanted a snack we agreed on macaroni crackers to which she accidentally dumped on the floor when she slipped and yelled, "This is the worst day ever!"
Big sister came home from school so I took this opportunity to run up town and refresh our fruit and veggie selection in the house and buy a garbage can with a lid for the diapers!
Later in the afternoon Daelyn drew a double sided picture for the Dentist office to put up with the other kids drawings. Check it out.
This side is her walking into the Dentist office all happy... unknowing. hehe

Then there is this side that she graphed out for the other kids to let them know what's going to happen.

I realized you couldn't see all of it so I did a better close up one of it. In the first square on the left you'll see the Chair. "That's fun" she says. Then the metal thing they use to check your teeth, then the green stuff that numbs your gum a little bit. Beside that is the dreaded "pokey thing". After that is a picture of her teeth because he was fixing them. The little "P" in the box was for the present she got to pick out of the toy box, then home. Written at the bottom if you can't quite read the yellow glitter pen is "I DEDET LIK ET" or in proper written language "I didn't like it."

Both kids are sleeping now, and all is quiet.
The day is allllmmmoooosstttt over....
