I know it's late but I wanted to post this...

This is for challenge #3 of the Amazing DS Race. :) We were to do a LO to illustrate the changing time. I thought long and hard and didn't want to do something like computers or video games, I wanted something MORE. So close to the end of the first day I came up with this idea. I had a hard time with the picture as neither of the Fefchak ladies returned my emails for a new pic ;) so I had to do some fancy photo editing to make this one. I'm very happy with my LO and hope everyone likes it. :)




Journalling reads:

When I was growing up and people talked about families, you knew they meant a mom, a dad and a couple of kids. It was different to hear that your friend didn’t live with both parents, although there was the odd one you knew. You most definately didn’t hear of families consisting of two moms, or two dads. That didn’t happen and it was rarely talked about.

But now . . .

We are thankful for changing times. If it weren’t for change we wouldn’t have this lovely family. My sister in law and her partner together, married with two beautiful boys. It is the norm now to not have families with a mom and a dad, but maybe just a mom, or just a dad. Maybe even two moms or two dads, it doesn’t matter as long as there is love in their hearts, because that is what makes a family.
