Our tree has been fruitfull this summer, more than we ever could have imagined. It's our first experience with it mind you so we didn't really know what to expect from it. One of Hayley's jobs this summer has been picking up the ones that have fallen so that Scott can mow the lawn so she usually picks up an ice cream pail full every couple of days. They were starting to get red and lots were falling these last few days so we decided sunday we'd pick the majority of them. I had already picked enough for the 2 pies I made and gave away a bag to the neighbors behind us.
So we picked a full wagon load, our kitchen sink was full, and two bags to give away. We came in around 2 and started at it. I peeled, Scott cored them with the pampered chef wonder corer, lol, and Hayley chopped them up. Daelyn supervised of course, until she got to tired and had to take a nap. hehe We still have a whole bunch left but we got enough to freeze 4 bags of 6 cups each and another 6 cups to make two more pies. We gave one pie away. Our neighbors are going to either love or hate us!
Here's some pics from yesterday:

Daelyn had to sample a few!
